助成の趣旨
感染症及びその化学療法又は病原微生物に関する研究において優秀な研究業績を挙げ、今後とも研究の発展を志している研究者に対して助成金（研究奨励金）を授与することによって、研究者の育成と医学の振興に寄与することを目的とし、故上田 泰先生（東京慈恵会医科大学 名誉教授）の篤志により設定されました。
